The Continuous Improvement Group (CIG) was responsible for running this survey in support of the CIG's charter to foster, confirm, and reinforce human values, ethical behaviour, and social responsibility at SAP Africa.

The Best Company to Work For survey was seen as a tool that would assist the efforts of the CIG in aligning processes in the organisation with the values, encouraging employees to take ownership of these values, and to challenge the status quo.

We participated in this survey for the first time and the survey ran from July and the results were announced in October. Out of 85 participating companies, SAP Africa came 18th.

This ranking and its results are important as it is based chiefly on the opinion of employees. Employee opinion makes up 75% of the score, 15% from CEO and Management and 10% from the market.

This is a great achievement for our first time participating and it is good to see that the top two companies are both customers (ABSA and SAB).
