SAP Labs U.S., headquartered in Palo Alto, California is the first SAP Lab established outside of Germany, SAP Labs U.S. grew from 25 people in 1996 to encompass more than 1,500 today. The mission of SAP Labs U.S. is to leverage the many valuable assets associated with Silicon Valley and the wide U.S. market, as a means of driving innovation, strategic partnering, and field support/customer success.

Labs at Work

To further its mission, SAP Labs U.S. works hard to create and enhance partner relationships that drive collective innovation. Labs also builds "community" at multiple levels by participating in local business, academic, and social relationships, and supporting specific initiatives such as the 130,000-strong SAP Developer Network, a collaborative community for developers.

In addition, SAP Labs U.S. actively hires talented people in Silicon Valley and across North America, and frequently places people with strong industry-specific expertise in satellite offices that are located close to those industries. For example, experts in oil and gas work out of the Dallas office, while experts in government and public sector reside in Washington, D.C. These experts help drive innovation and provide direct support to field sales and service teams to promote customer success.

SAP Labs U.S. also maintains strategic relationships with organizations such as Stanford University, Carnegie Mellon, MIT, Rutgers, Software Developer's Forum, Stanford Global Supply Chain Management Forum, Intel Corporation, Microsoft, and more.

Labs' Successes

Over the years, SAP Labs U.S. has contributed to a number of technical and product successes for SAP – such as the SAP NetWeaver platform and Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) framework, SAP xApps packaged composite applications, and the SAP RFID application.

Internships

We interview on a continual basis for our year-round internships, and through December and January for our summer internships.
